Machine building and automation
Machine builders send a frame drawing with machined faces on it, an enclosure drawing in thin plate, or a fixture that must hold a part to a tenth. All three come out of this hall.
The machines
Special machines, production cells and automation lines stand on welded frames and beds that are machined after welding so the guides, bearings and drives mount true. Around them are housings, guards and enclosures in thin folded plate. Inside the cell are the jigs and fixtures that hold the workpiece while it is welded or assembled.
We weld and machine the frames, fold and weld the enclosures, and build welding jigs and tack-welding fixtures, including the ones for our own robotic stations, whose fixtures are shown on these pages.
What we weld for them
- Machine frames and beds with machined mounting faces and bores
- Flat machine frames and handling frames
- Housings, guards and technical enclosures in folded plate
- Welding jigs and tack-welding fixtures, up to 13.7 m
- Robotic welding station fixtures and one-off weldments to drawing
Machine builders and the machines their frames belong to are not named on this site.
